Current Major Projects of Andy Kerr

I am currently spending much of my time advocating for the:

• expansion of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System in Oregon

• expansion of the National Wilderness Preservation System in Oregon;

• establishment of 2.6 million acres of new National Forests and Wildlife Refuges in Western Oregon;

• conservation and restoration of the Sagebrush Sea, including the recovery of the greater sage-grouse to levels that support a harvestable surplus;

• the conservation of the Elliott State Forest;

• the elevation of the conservation status of ~40,000 acres of Oregon Common School Fund forestlands; and

• the permanent protection of the nation’s remaining mature and old-growth forests.
